Do I have lots of good memories to share and tell about Harry. Jane & I started to hang out together back when we were about 14 or so, & when i met her dad for the 1st time, I was kind of wary of him because he didn't smile a lot, but i guess maybe he was tired or just busy with day to day living....anyway that didn't last long cause being down at the Dietz house on 3rd st.all the time we got to know each other and i always felt so welcomed there just hanging out with Jane. Harry liked to pest you and then he would always have a big laugh about it.....When we went to St. Joe's Academy, Harry would pick me up in his station wagon, and as i got into the back seat, I  would hear this growl & smell stinky dog breath  behind me, oh shit, he brought "POKIE"  along for the ride to school...And he would just laugh because he knew that I didn't like Pokie & the dog didn't like me either!!!!But that was Harry,,liked to torment you in a good way....Then he use to watch me & Charlene McBride sneak out of her home well after midnight to go running around & he would say  " Look there they go again,
Shirley, and he never said a word to me about that, he probably just shook his head and had a chuckle....I have good and fun memories of him that I still think about from time to time,,,memories of all the Dietz's that go back a long time & what that family means to me...I love everyone of them so much cause they were there for me & I will be there for all of you too!!!! ^i^

I have so many wonderful memories with my pap. I saw the Rachel said about his big yawns he would let out, and the next thing you know Nan would be saying "OH HARRY!!" Every year for Mine and Rick's birthday we would always go to the Olive Garden for dinner. Nan and Pap would always come along with us and we would always make it a point to stop in Borders together.
When i was younger and just learning to talk my pap had just hung up the phone with someone and said, "Say asshole Amanda, Big asshole" and boy did Nan yell at him for that one!! Me and Pap also went through our "beanie Babie" phase together. We thought we had to go out and buy every beanie babie that came out. We would ever make special trips to roots to see the man with the beanie babie table.
Pap was never the type of person to let his feelings show. Every time i would leave the house i would say I love you Pap and he would just say yeah but the last time i saw him was in the hospital and when i said I love you Pap he said "I love you too" and i will NEVER forget that. We will all carry our special memories of him forever. We love and miss you very much Pap.

Where to begin... There are so many memories that I have of my pap... One of my favorite things is on our birthdays you could always count on him to pull your ears.  He always added that extra "and one to grow." I always looked forward to that.

No one could make a better fire than pap on christmas afternoon.  It was the perfect place to take a nap after a big christmas dinner with the family.  Of course you couldn't nap too long because of the kids playing.  I never knew how pap could nap anytime, and anywhere.  It didn't matter who was around or how much commotion there was.

The thing that I will miss hearing most of all are his great big yawns, anyone who knows him well will know what I am talking about.  Once in awhile I will sneak one out but it doesn't even compare.

There are just so many wonderful memories  that he is a part of, it is hard to think that that's all we are left with.He will live on in all of us, his wife, family and friends. I will never let our memories fade. I love you Pap.
